Comment - The woodblock shows a lively winter scene, maybe around New Year. A kadomatsu arrangement is framing the street scene on the right margin. Two female musicians on getatas are playing shamisen like instruments, a boy and a girl in traditional attire are listening, two passers-by on the lower left are watching. The background shows two carriages, nearly only the wheels are visible. The street is aligned with traditional living houses, the blue-gray background maybe showing snow patches and snow slopes. Two edo kaku kites are roaming the sky, a yakko kite flutters on the upper right beneath the title cassette (not read).
