Artist 每 Takaaki NOMURA (珧游噹隴), born 1949, is a Japanese printmaker, illustrator and author of childrens books. Some of them with text appearing in Japanese and English. Of interest especially for its handsome woodcuts of the village scene. The most successful in the Western hemisphere was Grandpa's Town ("Ojiichan no machi","云元中切扎氏及引切"), a simple story about a little boy who is worried that his widowed grandfather is lonely--until he goes with him to a public bath and realizes how many friends Grandpa has, including a detailed depiction of men and boys of all ages chatting as they go through the bath's routine. Among other books are "Grandma on the veranda" ("Baachan no engawa", "壬丐切扎氏及尹氏互歹 //"), "The Frog of the Earthenware Teapot" ("Kaeru no dobin", "井尹月及升太氏"), "Grandma's bean cake" ("Obaachan no ohagi", "云壬丐切扎氏及云反亢") and "Yamano Station" ("Yama no eki", "支引及尹五").
