Artist – Utagawa KUNITSUNA (歌川 国綱), was a pupil of Utagawa Toyokuni (I) and Utagawa Kunisada (I). He was a 3rd generation Utagawa member.

He had been mainly working with historical genres (warriors, legendary scenes, etc.). He illustrated several popular books, and like his masters, and he also was working on the Tokaiodo subject. One of his works is the processional Tokaido (Scenes of Famous Places along the Tôkaidô Road (Tôkaidô meisho fûkei), also known as the Processional Tôkaidô) .


Personal life - His life data are very sparse. He was active during 1818-1865 and died in 1868.


Aliases - Kunitsuna (国綱), Ichiransai Kunitsuna (一蘭斎国綱), Toyokuni uchi Kunitsuna-ga (豊国内 国綱)
